How to Tag on Twitter?

Twitter is by far the most interactive social media platform on the internet because it allows you to connect with anyone in a matter of seconds. One of the most popular features of Twitter is the tagging feature because you can get a friend see a Tweet you made or a Tweet of another person. If you do not know how to tag on Twitter, this article will give you the steps on how to do so.

If you want to tag someone on a Tweet that you are going to make, then first, you have to click on the Tweet bar. Once you click on that, you type in your Tweet and you press the “@” sign followed by the username of the person you are tagging. If you do not know his or her username, then type in his or her name and the username should pop out in a drop down menu.

If you want to tag someone on an existing Tweet that either you or someone else made, then you can make use of the Retweet option. Let’s say there is an existing Tweet that you want to share with a friend. All you have to do is click the Retweet option found at the bottom of the Tweet. A window will appear where you can tag your friend in the Tweet. Just click on the space provided and type in the “@” sign along with the username of your friend.
