Twitter is a social media platform that offers a whole range of features including tagging friends, posting small messages called Tweets, uploading photos, uploading videos, and sending direct messages or dms to people in the platform. Let’s focus on the direct messages or the dms. What are dms on Twitter? Dms are basically private messages that you can send to people in the platform. They are like emails that only the sender and the recipient can see.
There are two different ways to send dms or direct messages on Twitter. The first one is to use your direct messaging option which can be found on your Twitter dashboard. Click on the “Messages†option which is located at the upper left corner of your dashboard. Once you click on it, a window will appear showing all your existing direct messages. In the upper left corner of that window, there is a “New Message†option. This option will allow you to send direct messages to people. When you click on it, your list of friends will appear. Click on the friend that you want to send a message to. After that, write your message and click on “Sendâ€.
Another way to send a message would be to go to the profile of a friend then click on the “Send Direct Message†option which can be found in the left side of your friend’s profile. After that, all you have to do is type the message and click “Sendâ€.
